About my fundraising
am swimming outside in unheated water through the winter, at Tooting Bec Lido. Oct 08 - Apr 09. swimming in cold water boosts the immune system, so every time i go in i think of all the people with M.E. whose immune systems have taken a battering. this is my first year of winter swimming & it's been pretty cold recently (lifeguards move the ice to make space for us!) so i need all the support i can get! if you can make it, come & cheer me on at the UK 2009 Cold Water Swimming Championship - Tooting Lido, 24th Jan. i'm in the 1 width Head-Up Breastroke (easiest race & I'll probably come last)!! fun day, with sauna/hot tub/warming food & drink/swimmers silly hat competition.
